Ian Freer (Chairman)
Ian is a retired British Army Major General who settled in Melbourne in 1996. Since 1998 he has provided strategic advice to companies supplying the Department of Defence as well as governance and risk management advice to a wide range of corporate clients. He started advising Ocean in 2002 and assumed the appointment of Managing Director in 2004. Today Ian is a Director and Executive Chairman of Ocean. Ian is also a Counsellor of the Royal United Services Institute of Victoria , Victorian representative for the Beacon Foundation, a Director of Woodleigh School and a member of The Pacific Institute.
Andrew Morrice (CEO)
Andrew is an experienced senior executive in the Global I.T. Industry. He has worked in Australia and the US with responsibility for US domestic sales and marketing as well as international operations overseeing foreign offices and distributors around the world. His career has focused on the business of providing complex IT products and services to a range of industries including Defence. He has a solid technical background coupled with international sales and marketing experience. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computing) and a Masters Degree in International Business from Melbourne University. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors program (GAICD).
Richard Broome (Director of Products)
Richard is the founder of Ocean and has over 15 years industry experience in IT providing key solutions to clients. He has been responsible for the design and construction of Oceans product suite. He heads the Ocean product design team coordinating all aspects of product and solution delivery. Richard is the primary interface with clients in identifying and articulating their needs. Richard has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Systems.
Bruce Moors (Director of Operations)
Bruce manages the day-to-day running of the company. He has spent the last 12 years in the IT industry with a strong focus on project and operations management including six years at ISIS.com and Adacel. He has managed the development of IT systems for the Defence, Coastal Surveillance, Banking & Finance and Education industries. Since joining Ocean in 2004, Bruce has been closely involved with all areas of Oceans business including management of the Coastwatch and Telstra accounts, the coordination of Technical Account Managers and the management of ongoing ISO accreditation.
