Architecture

CoastPro™ is based on advanced Microsoft enterprise-wide database technologies. The minimum requirement to run CoastPro™ is a single computer to act as Client, web server and database server. Scaling upwards, each CoastPro™ installation supports large numbers of concurrent client computers, one or more load-balancing web servers with failover, and an optional file server (for images, audio and video).

Powerful Security Model

Security is enforced by the system that prevents direct access to the database. CoastPro™ can allow the administrator to set the access rights down to each individual user.

The System uses Microsoft's "Integrated Windows Authentication" for authenticating Users. If part of a trusted domain, CoastPro™ automatically grants access to Users (single sign-on). Passwords are not transmitted over the network and are not stored by the system.

Built using Microsoft Technologies CoastPro™ will be very familiar to Users, highly supportable and straightforward to maintain by Information Technology professionals. All data exchanged with CoastPro™ is in XML format. This allows users to readily export data familiar MS Office products such as Excel and Word.
